Between Heidi and her family, we can count on them going the extra mile to support the annual events in abundant volunteer hours. Heidi also assists in the bookings, the maintenance, grants, and much more.

One of Heidi's favourite aspects of living in the community is Lone Butte's small-town feeling, where everyone looks out for everyone. "It takes a village to raise a family, and this is a village for sure. Everyone is friendly and helpful."

Heidi's role as President is combined with being the lead co-ordinator for our Community Christmas Dinner and the Christmas Hamper, and is always available to help at all of our events. She also does an assortment of shopping to provides us with food prepartion, gifts, supplies and more. She has been a large supporter of the refurbish of our Riding Arena and rock picking:)

Mary loves that the community has always made her feel welcome, and people smile and wave at her. She is well-known in the community for all her efforts, and she is even getting used to being hugged at the grocery store!

Mary believes that one of the best things about Lone Butte is the community hall. She is proud to be a part of the executive team that has provided outings for residents and visitors like Dances, Easter Egg Hunts, Fireworks at Halloween, and Potluck Dinners. This is one of the reasons why Mary thinks our community is great!

Mary and the OUT Group volunteer with candy wrapping, Christmas Decorating and more. She has also been very helpful at Lone Butte Rocks.

Amalia McGlashan

Amalia is a bookkeeper with incredible support as the acting treasurer. She has lived in the area for 3 years and participated on the executive team for over 2 years. Her favourite aspect in the community is nature, especially when the leaves change, as it reminds her of why ‘we live here’. Amalia thinks the greatness of the community is ‘the friendliness of everyone. We are such a wonderful small community with so much heart.’

Amalia supports our annual grant submissions and provides us with food menu supplies from their local coffee shop. She also goes out shopping for last minute details too.

Whether planning, volunteering, participating, or just looking out for one another, everyone does their part.

Diane is availabe to volunteer at all of our events as well as prepare candy packages for the kids for the Easter and Halloween Events with the OUT Group. She also likes to help Christmas decorate and enjoys shopping for our Christmas dinner. At Lone Butte Rocks she volunteers all day providing good old fashioned games for the kids.

Jenny Bakken Director 2025.JPG

DIRECTOR
Jenny Bakken

Jenny has lived in the area since 2005 and has been a community member since 2016. She has been a director at the hall for the past 4 years and enjoys volunteering when she can. One of her favourite aspects is the beauty of the terrain which has abundant colours throughout the year. Jenny treasures how neighbours become friends in the community.

Jenny has always loved the event Lone Butte Rocks and is the lead co-ordinator. She also played a huge volunteer role in phase 1 of the riding arena picking rocks for days on end with many other volunteers.  She is looking forward to being part of the fundraisers for phase 2 of the riding arena and grant writing for extra support for early 2025. She will assist Lisa in coordinating the Horse Tack Sale in May and will always do her best to help anywhere needed. She also enjoys updating the website:)

Lorie Vincent Director 2025.JPG

DIRECTOR
Lorie Vincent

Lorie moved to Lone Butte from Mission, BC and enjoyed being a participant at many of the Halls' events and also stepped up on many occasions to help. Lorie made new friendships with people who were passionate about volunteering and now she is on the other end as a director for 2025. When she is not baking with Twisted Sisters, out-back side x siding or taking in the fresh air on walks, she is ready and eager to provide extra support that the hall truly needs to keep up with the growing community.

For anyone that does not know Lorie, she is the Market Queen, which will help Heidi our President immensely. She loves planning events and will take on the responsibility as the lead coordinator for Cabin Fever Seniors Luncheon, Halloween Trunk or Treat & Fireworks and the Christmas Market. She is also coming up with some creative ideas for Fundraising to help with the completion of the Riding Arena in early 2025.   â€‹

Viviane Fournier Director 2025.JPG

DIRECTOR
Viviane Fournier

Viviane moved to Canada in 1982 to Dewdney BC on a Canadian Internship.  After she was married, Viviane and her husband wanted to raise a family in a rural setting and so they moved to Lone Butte in 2000.  She often expresses as to how blessed she is to have 3 children and 7 grandchildren.  Viviane loved working at the Lone Butte Store and enjoyed meeting a lot of nice people. In the past she and her family have been a large contributor of the Hall.

It is important to her that the community and neighbours grow together, so she has recently joined the Lone Butte Hall again as a director for 2025.  She would like to be part of the connection with the community and be there to help (when she’s not gardening, going for walks or working at her feed store). Her comment is “Let’s see where we go from here”.

Viviane will assist Lorie with the organization of the Cabin Fever Seniors Luncheon. She is a lady with lots of energy that will always be there to help.
